What if the church world stopped using words and terms not found in the Bible, that are currently being used to refer to God? How then would they explain God?
What is God?
John 4:24
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Num 23:19
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Conclusion: God is a Spirit. God is not a man.
Where is God?
1 Kings 8:27
27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
Ps 139:8
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
Conclusion: The heaven of heavens cannot contain God. God cannot be not contained in a building. In heaven and hell, there is God. God is everywhere. God is omnipresent. God is not limited to time or space. God is everywhere at the same time.
What is God's name?
Zech 14:9
9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
The Lord's name is one. The Lord has one name.
Acts 4:12
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Jesus is the only name man can be saved by.
Phil 2:9
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
The name Jesus is exalted above every name.
Facts
God's name "Jehovah" is not used one time in the New Testament.
The name Jesus means "Jehovah has become our salvation".
The following verses are more proof that God changed His name to Jesus when He came in flesh.
Rev 3:12
12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Matt 1:21
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Matt 1:23
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Jesus is the new name of God. Jesus is the name that we should call upon for salvation, healing and deliverance.
The oneness of God is not a great mystery. It is actually very easy to understand. God the creator came to earth through the natural means of a birth. God took on Himself a human nature. We call Him the son of God because He was born and had no earthly father.
The son of God was crucified for the world's sins and raised Himself up on the third day. He ascended to Heaven and sat down as God forever on the throne.
