Does the Bible say...
that God is three persons? No.
that God is a spirit? Yes.
that God is a trinity? No.
that God is one? Yes.
that baptism should be done in the titles "Father, son & Holy Ghost? No.
that everyone should be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins? Yes (Acts 2:38).
Did the Roman Catholic Church...
begin the teachings of the trinity? Yes
confirm the trinity teaching in 325 AD at the Nicene Counsel? Yes.
baptize in the name of Jesus Christ before 325 AD? Yes.
change the baptism from "in the name of Jesus Christ" to the "name of the Father, son & Holy Ghost"? Yes.
Did any of the original Apostles...
baptize in the trinity formula? No.
refer to water baptism in the triune formula? No.
Did Jesus teach the trinity baptism to His Apostles? No. Matthew 28:19 is a command to "baptize in the name"... (Jesus is the name of the Father, the son and Holy Ghost). This is why all the Apostles and all of the early church by baptized by immersion "in the name of Jesus Christ".
Who was baptized in Matthew chapter 28? No one! Was Matthew there on the day of Pentecost when Peter commanded all to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38)? Yes. Did Matthew try to correct Peter and tell him he was wrong about the baptism? No. Why not? Matthew understood as well as Peter did that Jesus was referring to His own name (Jesus) when he commanded baptism in Matthew 28:19.
